Delivery
What is meant by expected delivery?
The expected delivery date refers to the fulfillment of the order and its handover to the courier. It does not indicate the exact date when the customer will receive the product.
Are delivery dates guaranteed?
No, the delivery dates provided on the website are indicative. Due to the nature of our work, which is express and personalized, we cannot guarantee mandatory delivery dates. Unforeseen circumstances in production or delivery, beyond the control of Labeldoo.com, may arise and make it impossible to predict exact delivery times. Please note that deliveries are handled by our partner couriers. Even if the goods are delivered to the courier on time, actual delivery to the customer may be delayed due to various factors such as difficulties in delivery, misunderstandings, force majeure events (e.g., strikes, adverse weather conditions, holidays during transit), or if the shipping area is not served within standard timelines.
Can there be a delay or postponement of the delivery?
Delays or postponements may occur due to unpredictable events. We advise clients to maintain an adequate emergency supply to meet their needs, factoring in the possibility of receiving a faulty, incorrect, damaged, or unusable batch of goods, or experiencing delays in transport, or non-delivery due to force majeure (theft, accident, delayed or non-delivery of raw materials to the manufacturer, strikes, absence, errors or negligence of the workforce, plant breakdowns, power outages, flooding, etc.). For this reason, no compensation will be due to the buyer for any loss of orders and/or customers, increased production costs, or production losses due to delays attributed to any cause or non-delivery, etc., when beyond the seller’s control. We remind you that delivery dates refer to the receipt of files that meet the printing process requirements; any non-compliance with the file could postpone the delivery date requested at the time of purchase. If multiple jobs with the same selected delivery date are in the order, all jobs will experience the same postponement in the start date, from the moment even one file is reloaded past the deadline. We remind you that, in the case of payment by bank transfer, the indicative delivery will necessarily slip according to the regular timeframe when the transfer is accounted for, typically 2/3 working days after issuance.
Payments
What are the available payment methods?
- Credit card (Visa or Mastercard)
- Paypal
- Cash on delivery (payment is made in cash upon delivery of the goods)
- Bank transfer (printing will commence only after the payment has been credited, regardless of whether the CRO or payment slip has been sent. This will result in a postponement of the delivery date by 2-3 days, in addition to the printing and shipping time). Please indicate the order number as the reason for payment when making a bank transfer.
Invoice
Where will I receive the invoice for my order?
Where will I receive the invoice for my order?
Invoices are sent electronically through the Exchange System (SDI) in compliance with the prevailing regulations on electronic invoicing. If you require a courtesy copy of the invoice in PDF format, which is not valid for tax purposes, please contact us at info@labeldoo.com.
Is it possible to change an invoice?
No, once an invoice has been issued, it cannot be modified. However, for future orders, you can update the billing address on your personal page.
Shipment
Who is responsible for delivering my order?
Orders placed on labeldoo.com are delivered by our partner couriers, who handle the shipping and final delivery to the end customer.
Can I pick up my order from your warehouse?
No, it is not possible to pick up products at our factory. We only offer delivery services.
Are there any additional costs for packaging?
No, the cost of packaging is not charged to the customer. It is included in the overall price of the product.
Where can I find details about shipping costs?
The shipping costs, if applicable, will be displayed on the order summary page during the checkout process. If the shipment is free of charge, it will be indicated as “Free shipping.”
Do you deliver across the entire region of Europe?
Deliveries from labeldoo.com are available within the territory of Europe. However, please note that we cannot make deliveries to Campione d’Italia, Livigno, United Kingdom and Vatican City due to customs reasons.
Do I need to take any precautions before accepting a delivery?
Before accepting the goods, please carefully check the packaging for any signs of damage. Additionally, ensure that the number of packages matches the number indicated on the courier’s delivery note. In case of any damage to the packaging, it is important to sign the courier’s delivery note with specific control reserves, clearly indicating the damage observed (e.g., signing with a specific control reserve for torn packaging). If the courier does not allow the reservation to be added, please contact us immediately. If the packaging appears intact but the contents are damaged, please report the issue within 8 days of receiving the goods by sending an email to info@labeldoo.com, providing the order number, date, and details of the damage.
If I don’t collect my order, what am I going to encounter?
In the event that your order has been dispatched but was not delivered due to various reasons, it will be kept ‘on stock’ by the courier.
What does ‘on stock’ mean?
Being ‘on stock’ refers to the time period where the courier holds your order at their local branch awaiting redelivery instructions. The courier will then inform labeldoo.com about the ‘stock’ situation, and we will reach out to you to resolve the issue. It is the customer’s responsibility to release the order from ‘stock’.
Sending files and technical attributes
When can I upload the print file?
You can upload your print file while finalising your order on the labeldoo.com website. During the order process, there is a section titled “Upload my file” where you can submit your sticker labels.
Is a check of the sent file performed before printing?
Yes, all uploaded files undergo an automatic basic check. However, if you have any concerns about the quality or technical aspects of your file, you can opt for a professional file verification service at an additional cost of €5 + VAT. This service will provide a thorough check of your file to ensure it meets the required technical specifications. You will receive an email confirmation if the file passes the verification. In case of any discrepancies or issues, you will be notified via email.
What are the main characteristics that need to be respected in the label industry?
The graphic files must comply with the current regulations for packaging materials. Here are some guidelines to follow when submitting your artworks:
-
-
- Submit your files in PDF format, using the CMYK color mode. Make sure that fonts are converted to paths and images are embedded in the document;
- Use the Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black (CMYK) color model for files and images, and avoid using the RGB color model;
- The total ink coverage (also known as “Total Ink Limit”) should not exceed 270%;
- Provide open editable files that include separate layers for text, images, backgrounds, and other elements;
- Convert any Pantone colors to full-color equivalents in the CMYK color mode;
- Maintain a minimum distance of at least 3mm between text and graphic elements and the die line. Ensure that graphics extend at least 4mm beyond the die line to account for trimming and finishing processes;
- Include the necessary fonts with the file, or convert the text into paths to ensure accurate reproduction;
- Logos and strokes should be in vector format or have a resolution of at least 2,800 dpi for optimal clarity and sharpness;
- Images should have a resolution of 300 dpi;
- Avoid applying screening inclinations;
- The minimum thickness of positive lines should be 0.2 mm, and for negative lines, 0.3 mm;
- Maintain a minimum text size of 6 points for positive text and 8 points for negative text.
-
What color profile is recommended for use?
Our supported color profile adheres to the CMYK process standard. RGB profiles are not supported, and Pantone color printing is not available.
If my file contains Pantone colors, will they be reproduced accurately in the printing phase?
Labeldoo.com does not support printing with Pantone colors. Therefore, any Pantone colors in your file will be automatically converted to the closest CMYK match based on Adobe’s conversion tables.
What is an overprint?
Overprinting occurs when the foreground colour doesn’t “knock out” the background colour. This can lead to unexpected results depending on the colours involved. For instance, if we mistakenly set overprint on yellow text positioned on a black background, when we go to print, the yellow text will be “overprinted” onto the black background, effectively becoming invisible because it overlays it. To avoid the risk of an unanticipated colour outcome, it’s essential to ensure that the file doesn’t have unintentional overprints activated where not required by additional processes like foils, embossing, or any other process that demands it. Any unintentional overprints won’t be flagged even when opting for a paid file check (with an operator).
How do I include hot stamping in my design file?
To include hot stamping in your file, you should insert the graphic elements that will be “laminated” in the finished work using a specific “spot color” named after the chosen foil, such as “gold foil.” Make sure these elements are set to “overprint” to achieve the desired effect.
How can I integrate silk-screen relief into my file?
To include silk-screen relief in your file, incorporate the graphic elements that will be “in silk-screen relief” in the finished work using a dedicated “spot color” named something like “silk-screen relief.” These elements should be set to “overprint” for proper representation.
How do I accommodate 3D foil printing (casting) in my file?
To accommodate 3D foil printing or casting in your finished product, insert the graphic elements using a specific “spot color.” Consider naming it something like “3D gold foil.” Like other special features, these elements should be set to “overprint.
What should I be aware of when preparing print files for transparent mediums?
When printing on transparent materials, please remember that our printing machinery employs the color white as well. To account for this, you need to generate a new spot color labeled “white.” It’s advisable to assign a vivid display color, like Cyan or Yellow, to this “white” spot color for ease of identification.
If there are other elements in your artwork that will be printed in a color other than white (e.g., black texts or images), it’s important to apply the white color to them as well. This is necessary because transparent substrates lack the white background typically present in paper. Failing to include the white color may result in faded or distorted colors. To address this, create duplicates of these elements on a new dedicated layer, overlap them, and use the previously created white color as the fill. Remember to activate the “overprint” option for these elements to ensure proper printing.
For symmetrical images with a square or rectangular shape, create a box that matches the size of the image and follow the same procedure as mentioned above. This involves duplicating the image, overlapping it with the white-filled box, and activating the “overprint” option.
If you’re working with cropped images, create a path that accurately traces the contours of the image. Apply the same steps explained earlier, using the white color as the fill for the duplicated image and ensuring that the “overprint” option is activated.
Technical aspects of materials and processing stages
What options do I have for die shapes?
You have the flexibility to choose from various die shapes for your labels. Options include customizable shapes or classic shapes such as square, rectangular, circular, or oval. If a particular die shape is not feasible for technical reasons, the staff at labeldoo.com will contact you to discuss alternative options.
Where can I find details about the material to choose?
By moving the mouse cursor on each support it will be possible to observe the characteristics of the support, for example if it is intended for a particular use.
What is meant by varnishing?
Varnishing is an optional processing step that provides for the total protection of the surface of the label on the reel by means of a special varnish with a glossy or matte finish. Varnishing is always recommended to maintain the integrity of the label, especially if it will be applied to a support intended for shipments or long outdoor exposures.
What is the laser die cut?
It is a die cut made by engraving the support through a laser beam.
Does the laser die cut have a cost?
No. The great advantage of this die is that it is always free.
What contraindications does the laser die cut have?
The laser beam, by engraving the paper transversely, can leave a slight white border on the edges of the labels. This drawback will be more visible on labels with a dark background and almost negligible on labels with a light background, invisible on labels with a white background.
What is meant by typologies? When do I have to enter this number?
The types of labels within an order represent the references of the same label. This means that the support, the format and the processing must remain unchanged for each reference, while the internal graphic subject may vary. A classic example is provided by a producer of fruit juices that for the same product line has only one label but as many references as there are flavors (for example apple, pear, orange, etc.). if there is not a single type.
How can the quantity of the various types be managed?
The quantity for each type can be customized according to your needs.
Storage of labels and tags
The recommended storage conditions for the labels are around 20-24 celsius degrees centigrade and relative humidity between 50/60%, keeping the labels in their original packaging as provided by Labeldoo.com. The best quality of use of the labels is guaranteed for 6 months from the date of production of the same in the correct storage conditions, provided that the labels are stored in the production area for at least 24 hours before their use. Labeldoo.com does not guarantee the lightfastness of printed inks (deterioration of colors following UV irradiation) since various parameters affect the lightfastness of the printed label in an unpredictable way.
